Why it works
Why this email works
- 1The subject thanks first and sells second. Thank you, and 15% off your next bag opens with the thank you, so the reader knows this is about their order before they see a discount. The preview text names the code and the three new bags, which is what earns the open.
- 2It names the bag that shipped. Your bag left our studio this week, packed by hand tells the customer something the order confirmation did not, and it reads like a person wrote it. Maya signs off as the founder, which is a name a small shop can stand behind.
- 3The code has an end date. 15% off through December 19 gives the reader a month to use it and a reason to come back to the shop this month. No countdown clock and no fake urgency, just a date that means something.
- 4Three new bags, with prices. A canvas tote, a leather crossbody and a waxed duffel, each with a price next to it, so the reader can choose without leaving the email. The button goes straight to new arrivals instead of the home page, and one line at the bottom says why they got this email.
