Why it works

Why this email works

  1. 1The price is the subject line. Your first class at Northgate is $15 is the whole subject, so the reader knows what it costs before opening. The heading says it again and the button asks for the booking.
  2. 2The next price is there too. After the $15 first class, the email states $22 drop-in and $140 for ten classes. A new subscriber can decide without replying to ask what it costs after the first visit.
  3. 3Three classes with real times. Vinyasa Flow Monday at 6:30 am and 5:30 pm, Strength Circuit Wednesday at 6 am and 6 pm, Beginner Pilates Saturday at 9 am with twelve spots. A schedule question gets answered in the email.
  4. 4A member handles the nerves. Dana R. writes that she had not taken a class in years and now goes twice a week. The email promises no results itself; the quote does the reassuring for a reader who feels out of practice.

New to the studio

Your first class is $15

Hi Alex, welcome to Northgate Fitness. We are a neighborhood studio with three classrooms, showers and small groups. Your first class is $15, and you do not need a membership to book it. Pick a time and come as you are.

Book a class

Three classes to start with

Mon

Vinyasa Flow

6:30 am and 5:30 pm, 45 minutes on the mat. All levels.

Wed

Strength Circuit

6 am and 6 pm, 50 minutes. Dumbbells, kettlebells, rowers.

Sat

Beginner Pilates

9 am, 40 minutes. Slow pace, twelve spots per class.

I had not taken a class in years. The Wednesday strength circuit is small enough that the coach sees your form. Nobody watches you the way you think they do. Two months in, I go twice a week.

Come try a class this week

First class is $15. Drop-in after that is $22, or $140 for ten classes. Mats, towels and showers are here. Arrive ten minutes early and tell the front desk it's your first visit.
