Why it works
Why this email works
- 1The issue number makes it a habit. The Monthly Edit, No. 14 sits at the top, so a member who has read thirteen of them knows what this is before scanning a word. Numbering your own issues takes a second and makes the next one easier to sit down and write.
- 2A member story does the selling for you. Dana's torn rotator cuff, Coach Ruiz cutting her overhead presses and the 40 lb press in September are details only your studio has. A story like that shows how you coach, which no list of class times can do.
- 3New classes get a heading and a button. The three winter yoga slots come with the studio, the days, the times and what to bring. The timetable button sits near the top, so a member who is already decided does not have to scroll.
- 4Hours and a free class answer the basics. All seven days of studio hours are set out plainly, then a first class free for local residents with what to bring to the front desk. Nobody has to email you to ask when you open.
