Why it works
Why this email works
- 1The owner signs it with her name. Nora writes in the first person and closes with "See you in the chair," so it reads like a note from someone Alex has met, not a mass mailing.
- 2The price change gets one honest paragraph. It says what went up, by how much, when, and why, then names what stayed the same. Anyone who noticed the new color price finds the answer without asking at the desk.
- 3Each section answers one question. The floor, Color bar and Barber side labels let a reader skip to the part they care about, and every heading carries the number: six chairs, $95, $38 for 30 minutes.
- 4The offer has a date and a limit. Ten dollars off services over $40 through November 30, one per person, sits just above the booking button. Nothing is left for the reader to work out.

- New chairs, a $10 thank you, and the fall prices.
Hi Alex,
I opened Studio Lux eleven years ago with two chairs and a used dryer. This fall we finished the back room, and there are now six chairs on the floor.
Prices have not moved since 2022, except color, which went up $5 in March when our supplier raised the price of lightener. Everything else is the same, and the coffee is still free.
The book is open through December. Say hello when you come in.
See you in the chair,
Nora

What changed on the floor
The floor
Six chairs, six round mirrors
We replaced the bulbs above every mirror this summer. The light is warmer now, and you can see the actual color.
Color bar
Color starts at $95
Single process color runs $95, and highlights start at $140. Both include a gloss and a trim. Ask for Jo, she has done color for 12 years.
Barber side
Cuts, $38, 30 minutes
Walk in for a clipper cut or book a full scissor cut with Marco. Hot towel and a neck shave come with every one.
Book before November 30 and save $10

$10 off services over $40 through November 30. One per person.
